Porto

Porto is the second largest city in Portugal, located in the northwest of the country, and the one that gave the country its name, when it was called Portus Cale. Since 1996, its historic centre has been classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a charming and vibrant city that has an extensive history, fascinating tourist attractions (historic monuments, imposing bridges, parks, and the magnificent Douro River) and a buzzing nightlife.
A city full of life that is also known for arts and its diverse cultural spaces of reference such as Casa da Música and the Serralves Museum, for its bridges and architecture, both ancient and contemporary. It is also famous for the Port wine cellars, that stretch along the Douro River banks, and for its typical cuisine of the region.
